Day 65: good things

I had TWO phone interviews today, both for jobs that sound just fantastic. Both are moving ahead (an on site interview at one and a second phone interview with the site manager at the other). Neither of them is in a place that my BF would find a job. We lived apart for a year my last year of grad school and it was awful but I need a job and so does he. We made it once, we can make it again.

Interestingly one of the jobs is at a skilled nursing facility in Walla Walla, WA (home of great wine, guns, and God) which is where I went to high school. My family has long since moved away but it’s just lovely there and my “adopted parents” (the parents of a great friend) are there. It really wouldn’t be so bad to work there for a couple years even if the BF were very far away.

Why am I writing about this on a blog supposedly about food, fitness, health, and weight loss? Because emotional well being makes a difference to overall health. It’s easier to make good decisions when you don’t feel like a failure.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Food today
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 1 oz cheddar, 1 slice DKB. 3 P, 1 C
Lunch: salad (5oz shrimp, lettuce, bell pepper, onion, dressing). 5 P, 2 F.
Snack: Greek yogurt, berries, nut/seed granola. 3P, 1 C, 2F.
Snack: 1 pear, 2 string cheese (1 C, 2 P)
Dinner: 1 pint porter, onion rings, “spicy tuna roll” (tuna, edamame, avocado), ahi sandwich (2 slices eye, mayo, tomato, ahi steak, 1 slice cheese), French fries. (Feast: sister arrived in town today)
